Classic Oxford stuff

• Wander the colleges (Christ Church, Magdalen, New College are big hits). Even if you don’t go inside, the courtyards and halls arebeautiful

• Bodleian Library + Radcliffe Camera — peak “I accidentally time-traveled” vibes

• Climb the Carfax Tower for city views

 

Outside & easygoing

• Go punting on the Cherwell or Thames (chaotic but fun, especially in summer)

• Walk through University Parks, Port Meadow, or along the river at sunset

• Picnic with cows casually roaming nearby (very Oxford, very normal)

 

Museums (free, low effort)

• Ashmolean (art + history, surprisingly good even if you’re not a museum person)

• Pitt Rivers (wall-to-wall weird objects, slightly unhinged in a good way)

• Natural History Museum (dinosaurs + Victorian drama)

• Pub hop: The Turf Tavern, The Bear, Eagle and Child (literary legends everywhere)

• Covered Market for quick bites, pastries, and random treats

• Nice cafés if you want to pretend you’re writing a novel or thesis

 

Culture & vibes

• Catch a play at the Playhouse or student theatre

• Live music or comedy nights scattered around town

• Bookshops everywhere — Blackwell’s alone could eat hours of your life

 

Day trips

• Blenheim Palace (very grand, very Bridgerton energy)

• Countryside walks in the Cotswolds nearby
