Book NowOur Suffolk panorama takes us to beautiful timbered villages and through the pastoral landscape immortalised by our famous local artists Constable and Gainsborough.
We start our tour in Lavenham often considered the best preserved medieval village in the country. Enjoy tea/coffee and biscuits at a local pub before joining your guide for an optional guided walk through Lavenham to hear the story of this stunning village full of crooked and timbered weavers’ cottages.
For lunch we travel to Long Melford. It is often said if you only have one day to spend in Suffolk then go to Long Melford, and here we spend time at a local establishment to enjoy an included two course lunch.
Our afternoon tour continues through more ‘chocolate box’ villages before finishing in Sudbury the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough. The house is he was born in is now a gallery dedicated to the artist and it has just undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment. We include a visit to Gainsborough House as part of your tour.
Lunch is Sausage & Mash followed by Apple Pie and custard
