Enjoy a wonderful drive along the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, past Loch Laggan and Loch Lochy with a stop in Fort Augustus on the southern tip of Loch Ness over lunch. Continue towards Kyle of Lochalsh, to Eilean Donan Castle with time to explore the iconic building before heading over Skye Bridge, the gateway to this majestic isle, to reach the Dunollie Hotel for a two night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.B, D

Take the morning crossing from Armadale to Mallaig on the mainland and travel south along the 'Road to the Isles', past Loch Shiel and Loch Sunart, to Lochaline for an afternoon crossing to Fishnish on the Isle of Mull. Stop at Duart Castle, spectacularly positioned on a cliff top overlooking the Sound of Mull, before reaching the Isle of Mull Hotel for a two night stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.B, D
A scenic exploration around Mull, known for its wildlife, is enhanced with a foot passenger crossing to the legendary Isle of Iona, burial place of 48 Scottish kings and the abbey originally founded by St. Columbia (entrance not included).B, D
