After breakfast, take a morning guided tour of the Buda side of the city, situated on the west bank of the Danube. Enjoy panoramic views of the city from the Fishermen's Bastion, named after the Guild of Fishermen that defended the city walls. Its seven towers represent the seven Magyar tribes that settled in the Danube Basin. Note also Budapest Castle, the historical fortified complex of the Hungarian Kings, with its medieval, Baroque and 19th century houses and public buildings. The afternoon is yours at leisure.B, D
